To get to the special effects you need to first change to the strobe mode. Then press and hold the button. The strobe will change and begin a faster pace after about 1 second. Keep holding and you will then change to the first of the secret modes, let go and it will stay on this mode. Press and hold and you then be changed to the next mode after about 1 more second of holding. Again for the third. If you keeping holding and you will be returned to the first strobe effect.
