This German import double-disc collection is loaded with 40 tracks of the latest trance and dance floorfillers. This series comes out with a new edition frequently, so you know each volume has nothing but the newest tracks. The tunes included range in style from floaty vocal trance, to more bouncy euro-trance, plus a bunch of good songs that we would nevertheless describe more as techno, electro, or progressive than true trance. A few tunes have that typical German "Barbie Girl"-sounding beat, that is a bit annoying after awhile, but overall this is a nice diverse collection that maintains a nice energy level throughout. We really liked quite a few of the tracks, even the ones we never heard of, plus this compilation includes many popular current dancefloor favorites. Several songs make nice use of classic samples of familiar tunes so you'll find yourself humming along even to songs you don't know.
